I need a cozy kitten
and not a feisty cat;
I said I’d always love you,

Frank's humor surfaces in this short poem. As children, we witnessed the reality of human nature in their marriage, in "spats" yes, but also in a lifetime of faithful commitment. This photo was likely taken shortly after their October 1942 wedding. Upon Eva's death in 1996, they had been married over 53 years.
