Salt and Spice

For the years Frank Nickel pastored Southern Heights Bible Church, he would often print and distribute a little inspirational leaflet to hand out at church or to folks he'd meet in his daily journey. He called it Salt and Spice and it was usually printed on a half-sheet, both sides, of brightly colored paper. A few of these are in the archives and today we transcribe the contents of one, as written by Pastor Nickel for your reading pleasure. Have a nice day!

"All who walk with God are also willing to work for Him."

Chuckle for Today
A diamond ring was reported missing to the police, who then began an intensive search. The report soon came out that the burglar had been found-- "small of stature, fleet of foot, and able to move with a great deal of stealth." However, the police stated that no arrest would be made. The ring was discovered when someone passed a metal detector over a 7-month old kitten. Later X-rays confirmed the whereabouts of the ring--inside the cat! ~From "Our Daily Bread"

"What the church needs is not more men, but a better brand." ~Billy Sunday

"It is not your aptitude, but your attitude, that determines your altitude. The worst pest in the world is a pessimist!" ~C. Hutson

Then Pastor Nickel included a poem on the Divine Credentials of Jesus. (click to read)

"God is love" and "Love never fails"
